In 2017, I was an intern for St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC, the largest Catholic parish in the nation. I assisted in starting up the social media presence for the Young Adult Life ministry. I created a database using Google Sheets to keep track of college students and other young adult parishioners. I planned and organized multiple events for the young adults of the parish to attend, such as a pizza and trivia event as well as Living Your Strengths seminars based on Gallup’s Strengths Finder. I also worked with the producer of “MattTV.” I shadowed filming sessions and assisted with multiple editing sessions.

As a part of the internship, I planned and organized Living Your Strengths seminars two years in a row. These sessions were for college students, and helped them to learn and understand their Strengths. Through the sessions, we helped students to learn how they can apply their Strengths to a potential major or career. I was instrumental in attracting participants to the sessions, and organized discussion topics and activities for the group. The sessions were very successful in helping these students to understand their top Strengths, notice how they are present in their everyday lives, and determine how to best put their Strengths to use.
